Children are often afraid to visit the dentist. It can be a fear of the unknown or an unhappy experience they have had in the past. My hygienists and I do everything I can to help your little ones relax before and during an oral exam. I understand there’s a child who comes with those teeth and gums we’re examining, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable.

Explaining the process is very effective at reducing fear. Letting children know about treatment creates interest and fosters curiosity, which is much more positive than fear.
